| Personal background |
Seem to bounce between UK and Australia the past twelve years doing IT consultancy work as a means of seeing the rest of the planet.
Loves include family, reading, sport generally, and travelling. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
A sci-fi fan since my very early teens so SETI@home is a welcome and easy extension of that interest. It is doing real science, even though in a very small way - something I never envisaged doing after realising at the end of high school that I was not good enough to make it in the usual research areas.
It is being proactive, not reactive, in our environment.
It is using computers - one of my other loves after my family :-) |
