Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Believe in E.T?
I believe in a lot of things, life on other planets is one of them. Space is one massive place to get lost in, and we are not alone in mapping it out. If early explorers could find civilization around the world way back in Earth history, so will new civilization be found around the Universe in future explorations. Just hope they are still around when we get there.

When?
I feel somewhere between 2045-2047 signs of life will either be detected or first public contact will be made, but just an estimated guess. First we should try and tolerate ourselves and other cultures around the world without prejudice before new cultures and civilization are introduced into our existence and frame of mind. We should also solve our own problems first like world hunger as to prove that we have the right to be here. Which is why I submitted my own thoughts on how to accomplish this.

First Contact: Friend or Foe?
It could go either way. But I do believe there is a set of rules advanced civilizations use to monitor and protect new life forms, as well as when first contact is to be made (if any). Much like the idea of a nature conservation site. So for now it could be assumed first contact will be of a friendly nature. But a better question will be - who will be the host Country?

Thoughts about Seti@Home
It is great way to combine and test out our resources and scientific knowledge. I also hope that it will be noted in future history and scientific research material.

Stuff to ask E.T
Have they in the past or do they currently have a Seti@Home project running?
How does our scientific development/advancement compare to others?
And finally, where is everyone?
