Personal background
I'm 30 and from Sheffield. I love F1, SWFC, Tori Amos, Depeche Mode and Emilie Autumn.

Oh and I believe there is life out there. Of course there is. Why wouldn't there be? Is this really all just for us? Yeah right. The Earth isn't just for us humans, so why should the universe be? Or our galaxy? Or even our solar system? It's not! Obviously!!!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have a question. How can anybody possibly think that there ISN'T life elsewhere in the universe? Or our galaxy. Or even our own solar system?

IT SO DOES! If this wonderful universe of ours is solely for our use, then what a waste.

There is life out there, of course there is. There simply has to be, end of story and if my helping SETI goes anywhere near to finding it then I'll feel like I have done something good for all of us.

All it takes is one single celled being.

Life is amazing and incredibly hardy. Look at the plant life that grows in ridiculously unlikely places. Look at the plants that suddenly shoot up in the Namib desert when it rains for the first time in 70 odd years.

Tell me otherwise.
