Have been participating with SETI@Home since mid-1999. Former (retired) IT professional at AT&T and IBM. Have been interested in space exploration for many years and am happy to be involved in the SETI project.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

I've been running SETI@home on an very irregular basis (life changes took me away from the project for a few years) since mid-1999. Just reconnected and hope to be more focused on keeping at least one computer chugging away on Seti@home.
I think the SETI@home project is a great way to use all the idle computer time that is otherwise just sucking electricity and heating everything around them. Can't think of anything more useful than to help in the search for the other sentient beings who are out there somewhere. We are not all there is!
