Personal background
I'm a 39 year old venture capatalist living in Hampshire in the UK. I'm a keen diver and gardner and have been restoring the garden of my old 16th century thatched cottage for the last four years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think that extraterrestrial life exists - certainly in microbial form. The chances of us discovering it are slim however - but hope springs eternal! If we do discover intelligent life on another planet then hopefully it might make we humans forget our petty squabbles for a while (I live in hope...). Should we send a beacon? - Absolutely!
I run SETI@home because the possibility facinates me - and I think its a great use of my PC's downtime!
