Miami, Florida is my home. I have two beautiful daughters and I support computers for a living (and for fun!). I'm a bookaholic and science fiction is my favorite genre, although I'll read anything even those pesky inserts in medicine bottes in a pinch. I'm trying my hand at writing but so far nothing that appears publishable has been the result of my efforts.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I ran SETI@home for many years but lately I've been having problems with my computer (thanks to all the power outages due to hurricanes!) and I've turned it off for a bit.
I think it's a wonderful thing and I was amazed at the fact that so many people could pull together to accomplish this. Imagine if all those "spinning" classes were to hook up to the grid and generate electicity. This is like that but cooler!
