| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think the possibility of ET existing is pretty good. That being said, ET may not wish to be heard. I can think of a number of reasons but, I really do not wish to discuss my beliefs over the web. :) Face-to-face makes it easier to try and prevent, or help clear up, miscommunication.
We've been transmitting for years. The genie has left the bottle.
Why do I run SETI@home? I'm just like that cat -- damn curious! That, and hope that if should we hear a signal, I'd like to hear about it sooner than most. I run SETI@home on a small network. If I could get away with it... nah... better not go there. :) |
