the extension of the universe - in time and space - makes it very likly that other lifeforms exists and seti@home might help trace them.
on the other hand earth is yelling "we are here" since marconi invented radio,
our traces might be detectable in a range of 100 light years, growing with each second.
e.t. may be able to find us by himself and i can only hope that e.t. is friendly......
