Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I believe extraterrestrial life does exist. Humans will discover life on other cellestial bodies using deep space probes. They will, of course, doubt the findings and cause extensive scientific debate. This will go on until a second and more reliable probe provides supporting information.

2. I don't think humans should transmit a dedicated transmission. Haven't we been sending transmissions since the invention of radio and televison? These signals of such high quality will be more of a benefit to the extraterrestrails. They may try to avoid contact.

3. I run SETI out of curiosity. Hoping I'll be the one to run the first set of data that finds an extraterrestrial signal. Egotisic? Sure, why not?

4. I'd like to run larger chunks of data. Really churn the material...
