Personal background
I work as a seismic data processor, lots of computer number crunching. Aim is to help oil companies see below the sea-bed for oil and gas via seismic survey's.
Always been fascinated with space, as 3 years after I was born man landed on the moon. I still remember as a small boy my father let me stay up to watch the last ever moon landing on TV.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Other life does exist in the universe; even some asteroids have the components to make it. Whether it's as advanced or similar to us so as we would be able to communicate, I'm not sure. It would certainly tend to alter a few religions. I would like to think if we did find some similar life, they may have the answer to some of our problems and we to theirs..
