Personal background
Born and raised in a beautiful tropical country in South East Asia called Malaysia and I am 22 as of this year. Currently a student in San Jose State University, majoring in Computer Science. Probably that is why I am so interested in SETI@home in the first place. I love to watch the screensaver go on and on, knowing that there is a possibility of intelligent life out there and the possibility of me finding it is a significant impact on me. I currently have five computers running the client of SETI@home and I am proud of my stats(although it can be better!).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started to learn about SETI@home and became a member in 1999 when I read an article about Carl Sagan and that was what that intrigued me in the first place. I realised that the enormous vastness of space must definitely house a huge amount of life or else "it will be a huge waste of space".

This project is definitely worth while and since I cannot contribute either my knowledge or my money(since I have none!), I choose to help by contributing my computers.

ET can be a single celled or super intelligent beings, but we must first find them and let them know that we are also intelligent enough to communicate with them. That is the vision of SETI@home and that is why I participated. I want to help mankind take the next step in evolution.
