Personal background
Hi, I'm Cameron Miller - web "head honcho" for British actor Richard E. Grant's official website. I heard about SETI @ Home and thought I'd lend my CPU power to the project as well. I've set up a "group" for The REG Temple (as the official site is known) so that others who go to the site might want to check out Seti @ Home. The only thing is that I haven't told anyone there yet :-)

I'm 39 years old. A web designer, writer, illustrator, wood & metal craftsman, ex-musician, ex-guitarmaker and one or two other things as well - one of which isn't being a very "modest" person :-)

Ohh, I've also had R.E.M., one of the world's biggest bands, write and dedicate a song to me personally - but then that's another story.

Told you I wasn't very modest :-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there has to be intelligent life somewhere out there cause there's bugger all down here on Earth :-)

I'm not sure we'll ever "discover" it though, but it sure doesn't hurt to look! If we do ever discover it then we may just end up being annihilated....but then them's the breaks! Can't have it all, I say.

Besides, it'll just be like what we've done already on Earth when "civilised" nations discover new cultures now, won't it?

I think Seti@Home is a very interesting project - almost "noble" I suppose? At any rate I'm proud to be associated with the project and see it as my civil liberty to participate. Thank you for your time.

NOTE: The pic above is not me, but Richard E. Grant. He's much more photographic than I am anyway.
