Yes, I believe life exists elsewhere, but I doubt if we would ever detect their presence.
No, we shouldn't transmit a beacon because I am deeply concerned that we would be
threatened and harmed by the life forms who would pick up that signal.
Although I am highly sceptical about us ever detecting other ET life, I believe that we have to support projects like SETI and stay open-minded on this issue. |
