Grad student in US History at Texas A&M University. I'm into history (Of course) computer games, reading and sci-fi/fantasy. I'm curious about the possibility of life on other worlds.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think extraterresrial life exists somewhere. I don't particularly believe that they have visited us, however. I think the universe is too big for just us and it is the height of arrogance to think we are the only intelligent life in the universe.
Finding ET life is both frightening and exciting. I think it will depend a lot on how we meet them and what they are like culturally. I firmly believe that humanity will populate the stars one day, and what we do could affect what happens to us.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
