Personal background
I'm from Redruth, Cornwall, UK, The planet Earth........... (you get the picture!!!) I'm a mobile phone advisor, that's right an idoit who talks to phones about their problems :) Hang on that's not right, I sell them OK and I'm not a nutter, it's not like I believe in aliens or anything now do I??????

When I'm not selling phones I can often be found online dying horribly in a pit of blind stupidity on one of the many first person shooter servers out there on the net. You've got to train for the invasion ain't ya??? :)

Other interests include ....... well I guessed you weren't interested anyway so I left it out. Come to say Sci fi's, computers and that wonderful English game of cricket.... (yawn). Told you not to bother.

Well that's me and I'm glad to help in this search for extraterrestrial life. The truth is out there..............
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ET life exists? Well yes, of course I do, wouldn't be here else would I? In a universe of infininte possibilities I would say you've got to be insane to believe that other forms of life do not exist. I do not believe that the resources or technology we have to seek out life at present will allow us to find it for some years to come. Maybe 50 years, maybe 100 or more, "difficult to forsee, always in motion is the future." It is more likely that it will find us, if it hasn't already. Let's face it, a life form such as ours that cannot reach the boundaries of it's own solar system is hardly going to be considered intelligent enough to share information with is it?
The dangers are obvious but our instinct to better ourselves and be curious of the unknown will drive us onward and upward. A chance meeting with an advanced, hostile extraterrestrial lifeform would be catastrophic to the human race but were more likely to get hit by another asteroid than invite ET over to kick our butts. In the meantime I've started running Seti@home to satisfy my own curiosity and to hopefully lend a small but valuable hand in the search for the answer to that eternal question, "Is their anybody out there?"
