Personal background |
I'm 59 years old and work for a county government agency as network administrator.
My first computer was a TI99/4A and it still works. The first computer I used at work is an IBM PS2, which I still use with ProComm Plus and a 9600 modem to fix network problems when I'm called at home with a problem (its a very small local government agency).
I currently run SETI@home on 3 computers:
The oldest is a Hewlett-Packard runing Win95 on an Intel P-120.
Slightly newer is a Compaq, running Win98 on an Intel PII-450.
The newest is a Dell, running Win98 SE on an Intel PIII-733.
I'm hoping to add a new box with a 2xxx Athlon, OS still undecided. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Due to the distances involved, if we do get a message from ET, it will probably from a long dead civilization. Still, it would be nice to know that someone is, or age least was, out there. |
