Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am involved with Seti for one simple reason:

When my daughter first looked to the stars asking more questions than I could answer, I inspired her to learn more and showed her where and how. Since that time (now some 14 years ago) she has received awards in Astrophysics as well as having achieved her Ph.D.

If I may claim bragging rights which are really hers; she is the first female member of the Washington Space Science Business Rountable and her award that day was presented by the one and only Buzz Aldrin. I am very very proud of her.

So, in my small way, I support her continued work in the field this way.

Now, if I could only get my 35mm camera back from her (which is still mounted on her very first telescope and used on a very regular basis).. :)
