Personal background
I am 14 years old and I'm from Bath, England. I am very interested in SETI and I am thinking about getting myself more involved by building a radio telescope on my garage (that is if I can get hold of a suitable satellite and I can get permission from my parents)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think Extraterrestrial Life Exists but I think it is so far away in the universe it will take hundreds or thousands of years to contact them because our radio signals only travel at the speed of life and they may be hundreds of light years away.
I think Humans should transmit a beacon because other extraterrestrial life, if it was more intellegent that us then if would be friendly and could teach us to be more like them. We could learn from them but we would need to send information about the human race, What humans are made up of and information about our planet. Prehaps some extracts from encyclopedias in different languages.
I run SETI@Home because I want to be a part of this search for extraterrestrial life and as I am the future generation, I want to see what developments my help has done in the Search for Extraterrestrial life.
