Personal background |
Hi I'm from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Of course we are not alone. But we will only find evidence of this when more time and effort are put into the search. Any pros/cons are debatable either way
2. We will never send a beacon because the governments of the world would be worried that they might not get to put their spin on the message. As to what to send the basics would seem enough I.e. mathematics, periodical table, a simple visual message as well as a aural one would be suffient.
3. I run Seti@home because I believe we all should be involved in the search and to decrease the processing time for data analasys of all the signals recieved. |
