| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have computers that are always on, but not doing anything very processor intensive. SETI is one of the BOINC projects that interests me. I ran the old "classic" SETI@home on my Linux servers for quite a while. I'm just getting back into it.
I'm not sure I'm sanguine about SETI. We might find signals, but I'm worried that we'll get the LGM equivalent of "I Love Lucy" ("Waaaahhhgnorx!", "Oh, Loognorx!"). Still, this is one of the more optomistic things the human race is doing, so I go for it.
