Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Q: Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?
A: “Yes I certainly think there is life out there”

Q: When and how will humans discover it?
A: “When? I really don't know, but the discovery could be sooner
or perhaps we already did it”

Q: What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
A: “The possible benefits or dangers are relative to the social diversification we may encounter out on the Universe. If Mr. Drake is right on his equation there will be lots of possibilities. We must consider some of the theories of the late Carl Sagan regarding an alien civilization expansion and the astronomical distances to tackle just for that endeavor(from the book Cosmos P.310`311). We do not know if any expanding civilization is on his way here and just around the corner. We must look careful to all of these possibilities because history itself has proven to us the fateful results of a first contact between different races, cultures and societies”

Q: Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?
A: "Not at all, we don't know what is out there"

Q: Why do you run SETI@home?
A: “If I have the tools is my call to help in the most important search that mankind has ever done.”

Q: What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?
A: “I like it the way it is now, I have no further suggestions."
