Profile: Mike

Personal background
Unlike Isaac Asimov, I was not born in a small town in Russia. Instead, I was born in what was then a small town in California called Santa Clara, right in the heart of what is now known worldwide as "Silicon Valley". Today I live in New Jersey, not far from where Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson discovered the cosmic background radiation left over from the Big Bang.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I support the SETI@home project for two reasons: first, because it thrills me to be part of the search for the intelligent life that I am sure is widely scattered through the universe; and second, because I am dismayed at the lack of government and general public support for space exploration. Space is truly the new frontier, the stars unquestionably our destiny.
