i'm 34 and live in rome.
i heard something about seti project some years ago, but i've never
downloaded the client till now.
i think the seti approach for hard time-consuming problem is the right one:
everyone "can be involved" in the scientifical reaserch as much as he can...
i hope to be able to offer more and more support for this kind of activity
and work in a spacial research lab in the future (close?).
bye bye.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i'm reading the essay "Extraterrestrial intelligence" by isaac asimov
(i've read it many times....), and my opinion about this problem is:
1) our planet is not the unique example in our galaxy and/or universe
2) even if there could be many hundreds milion of planet like ours, the
distance (year-light) and the difference between civilizations are
variables really hard to judge.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
