| I am actually a small robot created from legos, old computers, and spare car parts by my evil twin brother. I love computers(I host lan games, program, and just fiddle with em, cause they are really just nothing but great puzzles...), astronomy, astrophotography, physics, paintball, target shooting, camping, hikeing, playing lead guitar in my band, and so many other things it almost makes your head spin... |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I run seti for a few reasons. I can roughly benchmark my sytems with it, Look for ET, and participate in a great computer project. I dont know how much chance we will have finding alien life with our current technology, but it would be a shame not to try. Do I have to do the quote about such a waste of space? no? heard that one? huh.... I just hit 10,000 in clasic seti before switching to boinc, so I hope my efforts help somewhat. I wonder if our little planet is ready for contact yet. Sometimes we must look pretty silly to anyone who is watching from afar. Oh well. Its a moot point. We will all find out if/when it happens. |
