Personal background
Working with computers since the stone age, created my first BBS in Okinawa Japan on Floppy drives with a 150 baud modem. Joined FidoNET way before AOL came to Oklahoma or the Internet. Built 4 Internet Service Providers in Oklahoma and still ran my WildCAT BBS known as CyberZone. (A premonition I guess) Associated with folks like Muzz from The Muzz Palace...who I met on VirtualNET when we ran VBBS, Renegade and finally WildCat. Still enjoy accessing BBS's in telnet on the Internet. Hellas BBS is still telnetable and a great place to associate with other BBS Sysops of old.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There is a lot of space out there to just be occupied by beings of Planet Earth. Somewhere out there are more beings even if just of microbe size or maybe we are to them, but I want to meet em and discover their life and travels maybe go with them to their planet...
