Personal background
Born 1981, I'm a typical South-African caveman... who happens to be into Sci-Fi and aliens. I am a Computer Systems Engineer... but would love to be a film director. (and I'm gonna make it so!)
Spent my entire life moving from place to place... have now ended up in Aruba.
Who knows where's next!

hope I get to leave this planet in my lifetime!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Ofcourse Aliens exist.... how intelligent they will be is another matter. Whatever they are... I hope we manage to contact them before I die.

We should be doing something about Space exploration and the search for intelligent life.... instead of just sitting on our behinds waiting for it to come to us. (SETI is the exception)
Our current space efforts (the space station) are a joke... we should have begun the terraforming of Mars already. Or at least have a permanent HAB set up on the moon.
I am very disappointed.

Hopefully future thinkers will see the light and spend some REAL time and money on space and the search for extraterrestrial life.

I run SETI@Home because I believe that there are aliens out there... and if we are ever going to make "contact".... SETI is who'll be talking.... cause no one else seems to want to do anything. Apart from supporting SETI... I run SETI@Home in the hope that my processed data units will help "contact" occur just that little bit sooner.
