| Born in Napa, California back in 1947. Have lived 'elsewhere' since about 1964 (Sacramento, San Francisco, Biloxi MS, Trabizond Turkey, Washington D.C., Omaha NE, Heidelberg Germany, etc, etc.) My wife and I are both seriously interested in life in other places than Earth, and SETI is just one way we support the search. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I am sure extraterrestrial life exists. Explaining why would take more time than most people have available to listen.
2. We have been transmitting a beacon, of sorts, as long as radio broadcasting has been going on. I think we need to construct beacons on spacecraft and launch them towards the most promising areas of our Galaxy.
3. I runSETI@home because I want to do my part to help science achieve contact...or, at least, recognize / accept contact in a form that most can understand. |
