Once I was born on April 11, 1961 Earthlings were finally ready to rock. Seriously though, I do feel a wee cosmic connection to Yuri Gagarin who blasted off the next morning and reported back... I see Earth. It's so beautiful!
I also love golf & astronomy.
Golf because every new hole starts with a big bang and ends in a black hole. Also golf was the first human game to be played on another planetary body.
Astronomy because of Carl Sagan's words from Pale Blue Dot.....
"It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known"

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I do think life exists elsewhere in the universe and that we will discover on Europa within our life time.
As far as intelligent life goes I think we should focus our efforts on Earth for now.
I think humans should transmit a beacon - the Simpsons and Homer Sapien.
