Profile: Grayphin

Personal background
9The name I like to go by is Grayphin and I am 21 years old. I am a Canadian and I don't mind the cold. All of my life I have enjoyed science and all of its disciplines. But biology, the study of life, is one that most intrigues my imagination. I carry a respectful wonder for all living things. I like to isolate myself from the world sometimes and reflect on my own personal thoughts. Sometimes one can learn a lot about themselves and who they are.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
9I find it very difficult to believe that extraterrestrial life does not exist. At least multicellular life may be very uncommon as the rare earth hypothesis predicts, but yes I do believe they do exist even if incredibly rare. At this rate the universe seems incredibly silent, they may find us or we may hear an ancient whisper. Basically, I can't fathom a guess. And what would happen if such a revelation has come to pass. I really don't care to think about it, because there is just a mind-boggling slew of scenarios. As for a beacon, I have this to say, "too late". We are already the biggest lighthouse on the side of the Milky Way. I think that SETI@home is a great idea. It gives me and many others the opportunity to assist in this brilliant project.
