I am an independent Web/Computer Consultant in Sherman, Texas. I have followed the SETI program since its inception (which tells my age.. 46). I am grateful for the opportunity to help with the program through SetiAtHome!
I am also an Amateur Astronomer who loves to watch the night sky. Oh, have you seen the new StarTrek? "Enterprise" on UPN. It's great!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is simply a wonderful use of resources! With so many people and business utilizing computers it is a shame to think of all the computing power not being used at any one time. Especially with the needs of SETI for computer time being so high.
I feel it is simply one of the best uses of my computers 'off' time, and a good investment in my children and grandchildrens futures.
