Kadines
Greetings from The Woodlands! Hello, I'm Kadines, a 37 year old male from Texas. For those who does not know where The Woodlands is, we are 40 miles North of Houston. Interesting information about The Woodlands. We are not a city or a town. We are a master planned community owned by a corporation.
I work in The Woodlands also, I'm a Systems Programmer and Sr. Network Administrator, Approximately .8 miles from my house. I've been married to a wonderful lady for the last 13 years and we have two children. Our oldest child is a boy who is a baseball and computer fanatic.
In my spare time my son and I love to fish, camp, ride and at night we like to gaze through our Mead LX200. Maybe one day we will find that something to prove to the critics that there is life out there. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I currently have the Seti@home (Boinc) program running on three computes. These computes are server in my home network and they stay on 24 / 7. I figured that instead of just letting them set there idle, I might as well put them to work.
I think the Seti@home project is great! I encourage my firends to join up and let thier computers due some crunching in its spare time. I currently have 4 firends that have downloaded and started running Seti. I suppose I should start a team.
The only thing I would like to see changed about the Boinc/Seti project is the ability to display "real time" statistics on your web site. Maybe one day. |
