Personal background
I'm 35 and work as a SAP business analys. Before I got into the weird world of IT I was 10 years in aerospace. I have been interested in everything that flies (incl spacecraft) since I was a boy (fave telly was [still is] Star Trek!)
I don't really have time for hobbies as I have a young family - two boys 2 1/2 and 10 months - but I do try and keep up with e-mail's from NASA and now SETI!
Haven't got a picture but here's one of my son Jonathan.
Now let's see what's out there....
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I got a book 10 years ago about the SETI project & know the background stuff. Here's my opinion.
1 Almost certainly somewhere, sometime.
Depends wether we are lucky & looking at the same time as they exist.
Enormous possible benefits esp. as unifying force for us,
Potential of danger would be too much exposure (prime directive applies!)

2 Already have. TV since 1950's Radio since 1920's Each 'sphere' must now measure 100 and 200 light years in diameter! In addition Voyager series, and other

3 Because I can contribute to a worthy scientific project that is in my opinion potentially the greatest scientific discovery since fire.
