Profile: CadTree's

Personal background

I spent a few years with the military, SAC "strategic air command," to more precise. All good things come to an end.
I finished an interrupted education and graduated Signa com poppy.
That's something you get for showing up for class and not fire bombing the Deans office I think.
Even with a few letters behind the name, I couldn't get away from the government.
I remain a faithful servant.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

I've been asked if I think there's extratrilateral life.I'm no more sure than the next man.
Astronomers say the myriad of stars are as numerous as grains of sand on a beach. I find this not that hard to believe.
Looking in to the blackness of a midnight sky, Each small flicker of light a sun most likely larger than our own.
Surly as we now discover there are other planets surrounding some of these celestial bodies, there must be life some where.

Man in his ignorance, has had the audacity to place himself at the center of all things.
He may be fortunate enough to emerge from such ignorance to discover he is but one of many intelligent life forms,
forms so diverse, as to rival the many species of his own planet.

SETI is the first faltering steps in answering the question, "Is anyone out there?"
Will it be successful? Perhaps, but doubtful. In this quest, we take with us the limitations of our technology and understanding.
Is it worth it? Undoubtedly; No question may be answered without the effort to seek it's solution.
