Yes, I think that ET life exists. No, I don't think we have ever been visited. My view of the Universe is similar to a set of Petri dishes -- only the glass has been replaced by time and space; at least for intelligent, technological life. Certainly, given appropriate conditions, perhaps, Europa, elementary life is likely.
Humans are likely to confirm it (if at all) via something like Seti.
