Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do think life exists elsewhere. It could be intelligent or basic, humanoid or freakish, friendly or hostile. We will find ET's when either they want us to see them or we just happen to come apon them. It will have good sides and bad ones. We should let others know we are here. We love to communicate: spoken language, writen language, and even body motion. We could send a rythme common to all humans on earth: the human heart beat! The human heart has no race, gender, and/or religious/political differences. The reason I run SETI@home is help find "somebody". This project should continue because it shows that you should never give up on hope. Even if people laugh at you or say it is a waste of time. Remember this, nobody beleived there was a way to India across the Atlantic when Columbus left his home. They said he was crazy, just like people say the same things about SETI and the project. But just like Columbus, he had hope, and he never gave up. Neither should WE!
