Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course I think e.t.'s exist if I didn't why would I have this program. Who knows when humans will discover them. Most likely we are looking so hard for them they are probably doing the same for us. I can see both benefit and dangers. A benefit would be the diversity of the human race with another species. Learning new customs and traditions things like that. The danger, well lets just say it seems all species on earth have power struggles so what is to make an alien race different.
Most deffinetly humans should transmit a beacon for others to find. I believe we should send past history and modern struggles. Show the E.T.'s that we have had hard times and good. Show that we are complex and not just some boring insignificant race.
I run SETI@home because I believe in other life outside the earth and I want to help anyway possible in discovery of them. I feel the project is a very cool project.
