Personal background
There is too much to tell and I'm not good at summarizing the 'essence' in few sentences.

So, it should be enough, if I'm very brief and if you wan't to know more, you can always visit my web-page (or at least my attempt to make one):

https://sites.google.com/site/boincsta/home

I'm a physician by profession but I'm also very interested and intrigued by the principles behind Einstein's theory of relativity and quantum mechanics (better said quantum reality).

I'm driven by curiosity for virtually EVERYTHING that surrounds me and I always try to be open to ANY ideas and 'inclined' to thinking 'outside of the box'.

I have a very firm personal philosophy and without going into too much details, the essence of it is, that whatever the subject in question may be, there should be ALWAYS the humanity in us and the ethical values without any doubt considered first.

This may sound as an awkward choice of words, but if you wan't it plain and simple:

NEVER do something to another human being, what you would not wan't for yourself!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I could sit here for hours and try to find appropriate words for all those 3 questions, but the result would be probably a big 'mess'. So I've decided, that I simply COPY and PASTE the words I wanted to be written in my explanation for the donation for a VERY small, symbolic amount to the 'cause', but since there was a limit of 100 characters, that was not possible.
I hope, that this explanation at least partially speaks for itself:

I'm aware, that the sum donated is symbolic at best. Nothing more than a grain of sand from all of the world's beaches. I even don't know if, how or even if Frank Drake is in ANY WAY affiliated to Cal or how to SETI@home itself.

But that does not matter to me. It is more than enough for me, to look up in the night sky and ask myself every single time, not if we will ever get the proof, that we are not alone in the place we know as the Universe (such an idea would be to arrogant even to consider), but WHEN!

Nevertheless, what my opinion is, I don't make illusions to myself, that my voice will he heard, what even recognised in the 'scientific' community.

But I do know, that if there were not individuals (plural), like Frank Drake, I'm positive, that nowadays, the science (and the people behind it) which explores this yet vastly uncharted 'territory', would be years or decades behind, or in the worst case, still in the realm of science fiction.

So this tribute or my way of saying 'Thank you' goes to all man and woman and especially 'pioneers' like Frank Drake, who had the courage and tenacity, to open the 'door' and 'carve' the path, which should and must be followed for the next generations ahead.

P.S.
One of the requirements for the donation was also to name the 'individual' your donation 'honours'. This was something impossible for me to ask me for and for this reason I needed to provide an explanation, why I have chosen Him and His name:

Because in my opinion he was and remains a loud voice of many (including me) behind 'the curtain', who aren't heard, but have the same ideas and a philosophy, which is at least partially the reason for joining this project in the first place.
