| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have been interested in the SETI@Home project ever since I heard about it at a dot-com party in San Francisco. I even thought about trying to contribute to the original coding and so on, but came to the realistic conclusion that I just didn't have the skill set to be useful to the effort at that time.
As soon as registration opened to the public, though, I signed up, and have been processing workunits ever since on every CPU I can coax into life for the purpose. |
