Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI at home because I would love to have the system that identifies a signal from somewhere else.
I believe that we are not alone, and that WHEN we get that signal, everything that we are fighting about on earth will cease.
If I could change this program, I would make it as easy as when I first downloaded it back in 2000. Simple is better. I bet THEY may be thinking the same way. Let't not get too complicated. We think they are advanced, but they may be at the same level as we are. But if they are more advanced, they may want to use the most primative methods to make it easier to make their presence known. Think the movie "Contact" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
