Personal background
Born in 1969, triggered by computers in the Commodore64 era. It follows that I studied computer science at a university, majoring in artificial intelligence, neural networks, fuzzy logic and the like. Currently working as a computer software designer for a company making radar technology. Sounds more interesting than it really is, believe me. Fortunately I also have better things to do like taking care of my cat, playing sad music on my quattro and working as a volunteer in a cd music library.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think there is extraterrestial life, but not in this universe. We will discover it when we meet the riverman. Anything we find before that will be a product of our own imagination. So honestly I think the attempts we are making are futile, but then, isn't anything! It is a nice job for my puter so it won't get bored when I'm not using it.
