I'm a computer tech for a living. Ran seti@home for awhile then got away from it since I had a low powered computer. Now I have one that I can run it on full time without performance loss.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm happy to help out with seti@home. You never know, it might be your computer that finds the first valid signal.
I feel that it would be awfully egotistical of us to claim to be the only life in the universe. There are so many stars, with so many planets, there has got to be life somewhere out there.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
