Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I know extraterrestrial life exists and believe they walk among humanity, only they can't reveal themselves because of a policy they have about contact with underdeveloped civilizations. They keep watch over us to document our own development as a civilization.
Modern forms of broadcast frequencies act as a beacon at present, sending information into space at light speed.
Running SETI@home gives me a certain satisfaction that my contribution to searching for extraterrestrial life counts in a small way. I believe the project shows that humanity yearns to contact distant civilizations. This project remains the best idea to continue searching. Perhaps searching radio and television frequencies would yeild activity in the galaxy.
