Personal background |
I am a romanian medical student. I live in Bucharest. My system is a Slackware Linux, running the seti@home client non-stop with the lowest priority. In this way it runs unnoticed (Quake III is not affected!!!), but it takes more than 95% from the computational time. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Yes, it exists. I hope we will discover it soon. Benefits are unlimited, but there are also dangers, because many will not accept it.
2. There is no need to send a beacon, they are closer that we would want to know.
3. SETI@home is a great project and the computers today are beeing boring. Suggestion: the command-line version should be more easily to control (I mean each step could be under some external user made script control and the output would be very helpful for the script). |
