Personal background
I am a federal employee for the United States and have been employed for 39+ years. I was a serious victim of Hurricane Katrina as I live(d) in New Orleans, Louisiana. I had 80 inches of water inside my home. I didn't realize that mold came in so many colors and textures, or that it grew in such neat looking patterns. I lost 8 computers in the flood waters from the 17th St. Canal break. 36 hours before the levee broke, all of them were processing SETI packets when we lost power due to the winds of Katrina.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I really believe that there is life outside of the areas that we know today. I joined the SETI project to assist in identification of that life.
