Personal background
i am a true computer geek. i have multiple machines working on seti and hopefully it will end up doing some good
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
who knows how humans will discover life outside of what we know now. the raido signals seem to be the best avenus of discovery.

as for transmitting beacons, there are two possibilities i personally can see. we might end up contacting friendly life forms, but can we really risk possibly contact an unfirnedly life form?

why do I run seti at home? this is a very good question. my best answer is if i am not using the machines, why waste the cpu cycles
