I am from North Carolina originally born in West Virginia, and no my parents are not siblings. I am rapidly approaching 30 and loving every day of my life thanks to my 5 year old son who is the greatest. I work with computers for a living and love playing around with them as a hobby as well.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do believe extraterrestrial life exists and hopefully we will soon make a discovery. It would be great for me if I was the one to discover it because lord knows I could really use the money with something that would come a long with a major breakthrough like that. I do not know if there would be any dangers associated with it but I am sure there will be some but hopefully the pros will out weigh the cons in that issue.
2. It would be cool to send out a beacon to see if life exists out there in outer space. I am not really sure on what we should send though.
3. I run SETI to try and help out the cause. I would like to be the one who finds something out there. The project is great and whoever thought of it is definitely a very smart little guy or gal.
