Personal background
I am 41 years old. I work for a Johnson County Graphics, in Olathe, KS. I do graphics and typesetting. I guess you can say my hobbies are Astronomy and building \\"N\\" scale model trains and the Denver Broncos. I even have a website dedicated to the Broncos (www.broncoland.com).Not the most exciting stuff in the world, but I enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble. I was born in Orange County California and spent most of my life there. My wife and I moved to the Kansas City area in January of 2000. There were many reasons why we moved, but the best one is the clear skies of the mid-west. You can see much more at night here than you can in Southern CA. Jake (my dog) and I used to travel very far to get away from the city lights. Jake has since past away. He loved sitting outside with me at our home in Paola, Kansas. I have several other dogs. They like to run around while I'm using my telescope instead of just laying there looking up. Miss you Jake! (www.redstatewarriors.com)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I definitely think there is Intelligent life out there. I know that it will very difficult to find it when you consider how big our own galaxy is. I feel that if we are going to find that life, we will have to let them know we are here. I was introduced to the SETI at home project by me brother-in-law. We are both very competitive people and I am still trying complete more work units than him. He has a much faster computer than I do so the race is still on. This project in my opinion is very important. If we are going to evolve any further, we will have to realize that there is much more to life than our little planet with all of it petty bickering. Keep up the good work and good luck to all of you! Keep looking up!
