Been with Seti since 1999 and started on a Mac LC... 1 unit every 36 hrs!!! LOL Now I've got a Powerbook, a dual 1.4 Ghz Powermac and a PC working on Seti during the "off" periods. Good project although no little green men have shown up so far... :-(
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) To keep my computers busy. To find aliens. For fun.
2) Excellent idea... wish I'd thought of it.
3) Get some mac users aboard... we're dedicated to the "cause" but we're always a bit apart. Our computers are fast but the software isn't optimized for us. A grafical interface for Boinc would be good too!!
