Personal background
I'm a 28 year old, soon to be graduating, networking and programming student from the Atlanta, Georgia area. I enjoy building, upgrading, and repairing computers, cooking, playing racquetball, camping, fishing, and spending time with my beautiful wife and 2 year old son. I am currently running 9 machines 24/7 including a home built P2 400MHz, a home built P3 733MHz, a home built P3 800MHz, a Tangent P3 1GHz, a Compaq P4 1.6GHz, a home built AMD Athlon XP 1800, a home built AMD Athlon XP 2100 and 2 home built AMD Athlon XP 2400s. I usually use whatever I have access to at other places and anyone's system that I happen to be working on at the time (strictly for benchmarking, and troubleshooting of course). I'm a member of Team Seti USA @ US-Distributed.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that there has to be some form of life, other than what's on this planet, somewhere. I'm almost sure it's not in the form of little green guys though. It probably won't be discovered in my lifetime and I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. I participate in SETI@home because I like the concept of how it works and it's fun.
