Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Personally, I feel the belief held by some that we are the only intelligent life in the universe is either extremely arrogant or proof that human life was a one in a billion mistake. In a universe as vast as this, the chance of intelligent life developing on only one single planet is so small as to be non-existent.

I feel programs such as SETI@home are a benefit to all of humanity as it will aid in discovering, and thus contacting beings from another planet and am proud to be a part of it.
